Happy Friday everyone! Are you ready for the weekend, because I know I am! It’s been a short but intense week for me, and I’m glad I got to start it off by being at the coast for a couple days, because boy- did I need it! The husband and I spent a long weekend in Mendocino County, home of Glass Beach and Murder! She Wrote, wandering the trails and coastlines of one of our favorite places in California. We ate too much food, lazed about in front of a fireplace, went hiking and mushroom hunting, and of course, took lots of pictures (well, I did, anyway). The funny thing about photography (and by funny I mean sad and frustrating), is that I took over 300 pictures over the course of two and a half days, and I liked… a little over 30 of them. Maybe I’m too picky, maybe coastal light is fickle and my camera display tells lies, but either way, it’s hard coming back to review the images you took and finding more to discard then to save. Regardless! We had a great time and while I probably won’t get back there until after the holidays, it reminded me just how much I love the coast and all it has to offer.
